Yes I think, I downloaded Eudora and is seems stable but I need to retype all of my ready to send e-mails and my address book did not come over 100% so I need a few days to adjust but overall looking good.

Also Eudora only does one e-mail addy so I have to figure out how to do multiple addys.

But by Friday I should be up and running and all e-mails should be answered---I know, big deal :p

But posting in here works like a charm:p

Picking up from one e-mail addy or sending out?

I imagine it's probably the former - if not, let me know.

To pick up (and send) mail from multiple e-mail addresses, simply create a new "Personality" for each e-mail address. One personality (usually the first one you create) will be the default one ("dominant," in Eudora parlance) and when you compose a new message, this will be the one you send from by default.

If you Reply to a message, you will by default send from the e-mail address to which the original was mailed (may or may not be the "dominant" address).

In either case, you can just click on the "from" field to get a drop-down of possible e-mail addresses to send from if you want to change it for some reason.

When you check your mail, it will ask you for each addy's password in succession - if you don't want to pick up from a particular account (for whatever reason), you can hit "enter" with a blank password field, "escape" or press the "Cancel" button and Eudora will happily hop along to the next addy. I believe that you can also "take an addy out of the automatic rotation" in the personality options screen.

Warning - if you want to keep straight what is coming from where, you may want to add folders and filters to shoot email into the appropriate folder based on the "to" field in the e-mail. If you don't care and just want it all shuttled into your inbox, don't worry about it.

Are you trying to imply that Hal has multiple personalities now? :)
What do you mean, "now?"

There is BuffInBluff, MEG_Hal, he used to be THG_Hal (but a good round of therapy seems to have made that personality go away), Hal the policeman, CRAAAAAAZY Hal, Hal the Artist (if grey splotches of indeterminate shape count as art), Hal Greenberg, Hal O' The Greenberg (in honor of St. Patty's Day), "Hey you," and, unless I am mistaken, plain old vanilla "Hal."

:D
