"Why can't the Rangers be Power Rangers?
Like, maybe once a day they can call upon their Zords as mounts. Then all of their Zords can come together to form a D&D Megazord."

...I have no idea if I will be able to convince my group to participate in this. If so, it would be a one-shot type of deal.

So I was wondering how I would go about giving the players shared control over a single 'mount'.

You could also do a 'half-shell heroes' campaign with an all dragonborn party. Or all Dragonborn except for a wererat lycanthrope companion.

Maybe a couple of the PCs could have matching earrings that would allow them to fuse with each other to double their power.

Then, instead of the Raise Dead ritual, they would have to collect seven starred spheres in order to wish their friends back to life.
