Is the Six-Fingered Hand a modern version of the Qabal of the same name from the Masque of the Red Death setting?

Edit: Masque of the Red Death was the Ravenloft Victorian Horror campaign setting known as Gothic Earth, for those who might not know of it.

I love recycled intellectual property. I really do. Why reinvent the wheel? WotC has plenty of solid ideas in the vault that just need a little dusting off.

Yep. There is a direct reference to the Red Death and its entry into the world.

Pretty much, each faction is around 4 pages and follows the same format. The UNESF is a bit longer as you have extra info on black helicopters and additional equipment.
