Gives +1 Fortitude? Stonefist would seem to be a better tradition to give a +1 to Fortitude?

It's boosting the defense not associated with the monk's secondary stat. The Stonefist monk has high STR, and thus decent Fort already.

While I can agree with the concept, they should not have called it "Mental Equilibrium". That screams +1 will to me.

Instead call it "Mind over Body" or something similar, and then it makes perfect sense.

It's parallel to the Stone Fist's Mental Bastion.

Similiar abilities, similiar names. Makes sense from that standpoint.

seems fine to me, Equilibrium means Balance after all so it attempts to Balance by providing a +1 to the Defense its weakest in, not the best name but it's not that difficult to understand where they where intending to go.
