MENTION messes up email adresses

So, in the past I've embedded email addresses (e.g., "mailto:address") via the URL tag.

The problem is, nowadays I notice that, even though these links may appear fine when I preview a post, once I publish the post, the "@" symbol triggers a MENTION tag to be wrapped around it and some of the domain name, making the link useless.

Is there any way get around this?

Works. No it doesn't. Find in preview, but not when submitted.

We're aware of the issue. Waiting on the mod developer to fix it. Been waiting about a six months now.
