Mention vs email addresses

Is there a way to prevent the forums from interpreting the @ sign as a mention, so that I can put an email address in a post? As there appears to be a user called 'Wizard', the WotC email addresses seem get converted to a mention, which isn't terribly useful!

Why not just use [at]? Is there something wrong with that? It is generally good to mask the adresses on forums, as spammers bots tend to pick them up and.. umm, what rhymes with forums? :p

I cast "Baconstorm!"
(sorry, darjr, for using you as the test!)

Only put the {noparse} tags around the @ sign. For example:

Code:
{noparse}@{/noparse}darjr
gives:
@darjr

Otherwise it is parsed as a mention:

@darjr
