Hmmm.

As a native of sunny Austria, the land down under, I would very much like to join in this venture in the spirit of pan-Eurasian cooperation. Of course, location might be a problem, because Austria is, as is well known, both the world's largest island and its smallest continent, and separated from the rest of Europe by the English Channel. I would suggest Perth, the capital of Austria and famed city of the asterisk. There we can watch the dolphins frolicking in Sydney Harbour as we drink pina coladas and espresso coffees, and partake of the famous Austrian delicacies of quiche and focaccia. The trained kangaroos and their alpenhorns and wobbleboards will serenade us with exquisite polkas in the tradition of that famous Austrian composer, Johann "Rolf Harris" Strauss. A memorable time will be had by all.

As another dutchman, I vote for somewhere in the Netherlands

But I dont mind travelling. I can always seat a few people in the car (when "the venue" is within driving distance).

I would imagine at least a "long weekend" type of thing. It wouldn't make much sense to all get together just for a single day somewhere. If we hold most of it over a weekend then in terms of "holiday" time off work it is minimized, and even people who can't take the time should be able to make it. What do the rest of you think/envision?
