Mettle ability & spell list inquiry

Hoping perhaps any of you might know of a Consolidated list of spells of which the Hexblade & Pious Templar ability of Mettle would effect. Such spells having in their description for saving throw as: Fortitude Partial/HalforWill Partial/Half.

here is a small list I managed to dig up, courtesy of Lord Pendragon. Core only, apparently. If anyone has compiled a list of non-core spells, please expand.:)

And, thanks to someone (can't recall who, unfortunately) here is a [possibly accurate and complete, possibly not] list of non-core spells that Mettle might affect. It came from somewhere on the webs. . .

How would mettle interact with the orb spells? I don't think making your fort save is supposed to allow you to negate all the damage it deals, does it? :confused:

It seems that it is more of damage first, then the target makes a save to see if the secondary effect applies or not. Meaning that mettle would be useless in this context, as the damage cannot be prevented since it has already occured...

Spells are magic. And Mettle is a kind of magical power, too. If you can completely negate all the damages from fireball while continually standing in the center of the burst (with evasion/improved evasion), anything may happen.

Maybe "partial" spells with damages have some kind of "withstandable if you are tough enough" nature from the beginning.

I was wondering that as well - some necromantic spells have no save for the actual damage, but then you need to make a Fort or Will save to negate additional damage (like Fatigue, Exhaustion, etc)

Avasculate from the SpC - it's a ranged touch attack that deals half the target's hit points in damage. However, you also need to make a Fort save, or else you're stunned for one round. Does Mettle negate both the stunning effect and the damage?
