This module will not be for sale; it's a donation to the public domain, and subject to the same fair use rules as, well, anything posted in the forums.

This is a strange wording. Nothing simply posted to any forum automatically becomes Public Domain. Also, Fair Use is a legal term applied to certain uses of material under copyright. Material actually in the Public Domain is not under copyright. You're jumbling up a bunch of terms here, I think, in an effort to make sure folks can use your material without you coming round later and telling them they couldn't, and that's cool but problematic when expressed in the manner you wrote.

I know Modos RPG is your baby, and that's great too, but you might want to consult with legal counsel to be sure that nothing in it is actually under someone else's copyright before declaring it is for the Public Domain. Just to cover all your bases, you might want to explore the option of distributing it under an "open" license of some sort. It's an extra step but shows folks you have your ducks in a row regarding the actual claims or non-claims over the material you are distributing.

As someone who sometimes puts out material for other systems, I see the jumbled language and it immediately raises red flags regarding even opening the rules PDF, which I see folks can download from here if interested -

You're right - it's awkward. And since I just decided to change gears (and start another thread), not relevant anymore! Thanks for the advice.
