For what? WotC is planning on supporting each setting for 1 year (probably longer for the big names, but we'll see). That would mean that if they did DL right after Eb, they'd first support it for a year before considering MWP a go at it. DL belongs to WotC, not MWP. Ask Greenwood what WotC can do to a Campaign setting.
Not sure what you're trying to say here.

I know who owns Dl. I also know who can do the setting properly. Unfortunatly, these are not the same groups of people.

Ugh I hope MWP stays the ehck away from dragonlance. Not after totally ruining it with the stinking pile of crap that was 5th age and its rpg material. Seriously, everyone that dies in one book is resseructed in another. The magic system of the setting seems to change with every new book. Oh and lets not forget the HUGE EEEEEVILLLL alien cthulhu dragons. *rolls eyes*

If WotC can change FR to something completely different to make it fit 4E's basic assumptions and make it unrecognizible to many of its fans, they can do the same to DL 4E.

This seems like an object lesson in not leasing your creative space. The DL stuff is really good at least as much because of its writers outside of WOTC as anything else.

As a consumer, I'm making a conscious plan to give independents a shot. The fewer licenses, rules, strict ownerships, the better.
