Mildly annoyed; can't game.

I had my first session of my new game on June 8th, a Sunday. People made characters, and we started with the action. We figured Sunday afternoons were good, because almost nothing happens on Sunday afternoons.

I work at a library, though, and this past Sunday, a coworker had to leave town to visit sick relatives, and I got the chance to work a few hours and make a hundred bucks. I figured, hey, sounds pretty keen. I'll do this; the game can afford one hiatus, right?

Well, the guy's gone again this Sunday. I really don't want to skip two weeks in a row for a brand new game -- it'll kill enthusiasm -- but I also don't want to pass up another hundred bucks. I mean, after all, the job pretty much just requires sitting at a desk, helping the 5 or 10 people who come to the library over the course of the day. It's not busy, and I can even do a bit of writing while I'm there.

I'm going to go to work, but dang it, it's annoying.

Step into my shoes. I haven't been in a face to face game since GenCon of last year.

I've been coping by using the pbp forum. Sure, its not the same, but at least its gaming to a certain degree.

Err. You work at a Library?

Did it occur to you maybe to have the game there? You claim it's not buzy at you're at the desk the majority of the time. So set up a table near the desk so you can get up and help someone when they need it.

I've seen it done here in Brooklyn before and so long as you get your job done and the game doesn't become too loud I dont see why it couldn't work.

Because I'd get :):):):)in' fired, is why.

;) My boss, much more the stern, reserved librarian than the easy-going, relaxed librarian.

Actually, it looks like I'm just going to start the game at 10am, and finish up by 3pm.
