There was an off-hand comment about making D&D appeal to Millennials a few days ago, and I can't stop thinking about it.

So in a gently teasing way, what would that look like?

(Again: This is not a dump-on-Millennials thread. This is not a Comedy Central roast. These should be loving tropes, not sick burns.)

All wizards must spend their first two tiers -- at least -- working off their wizard school student debt.

Everyone's parents are mystified that level five characters can't afford their own castles yet.

Iron rations are replaced with avocado toast.

Boomers are an available favored enemy for Millennial rangers. Unfortunately, Millennials are an available favored enemy for Gen Z rangers.

"Influencer" is an official background, but no one you know has ever actually seen it written up, much less a character who makes a living that way.

Magic tattoos are an uncommon magic item, but at the cost of lowering approval levels with parents and grandparents. Some patrons will also not offer jobs to anyone with one.

They're definitely not fiends, OK, but everyone knows that criticizing Beyonce or Taylor Swift out loud will summon 4d6 angry followers the following round.
 

We are talking about Millenials, not Gen Z?

Leave 5e as it is, since from everything we know they totally love it.

Edit: did not see the second “funny” post. So no, not about gen z. Middle age people these days!
