The guardsman eyes you suspiciously "I have orders no one is to enter until Justicar Ivor Ironwood has completed his inquiry. I cannot let you pass."

Clairvoyance isn't on, so I won't bother with the Spot check.

Verity, you notice a faint shadow that passes by the guards. It's odd in that it does keep with the shadows of the surrounding buildings...but it doesn't appear to be attached to anything. You see the shadow work up the side of the tower and vanish through an open window about 3 stories up (it's a 6 story building.)

Jondyn you think you can persuade the guards if you can give them a valid reason (roll an untrained Diplomacy check)
 


Jondyn, the guardsman appear unmoved by your request "I'm sorry fellow guardsman, but unless you have clearance by Justicar Ivor or someone else in authority, I'm afraid you and your...friends must turn around and go."

At that moment Justicar Ivor steps out from the doorway at street level. He turns to the guards and immediately spots you all.

"Jondyn, Verity, Samahtar, what in the name of the All Knowing Law Giver are you doing here?"
 

Manifesting a Missive to Jondyn, Verity sends him a message.

No problem, Nightfall. Just make the call for spot checks as you would in any other game - it doesn't bother me.

<<Jondyn! Be ready. If Ivor doesn't let us through, I've told Verity to go ahead and get to the tower. I will be guiding him - but I won't be of much use here. You must be ready to cover him, if it comes to that. I will warn you. Be ready.>>
