Support for Poly games

I'd say it'd be better if they supported some of the more popular published games from the Poly rather than putting in another new one every month. I liked Omega World a lot, and the Dark Lords of Jupiter looks interesting as well, but I think with one per month the quality is all over the place.

It might be better to vary the content more in the Dungeon/Poly. I know at least Erik Mona seems to be taking on board comments from some of the message boards and I hope this idea will perculate through.

Very interesting thread. I'm happy to see most people have at least a couple Mini-Games they like, even if they don't like all of them. With a spread as diverse as ours has been over the last year and a half, it'd be impossible to please everyone all the time.

This year, we'll be scaling back to 4 Mini-Games per year. Dungeon 102, which we just sent off to press, includes "follow-up" articles for Pulp Heroes (our very first Mini-Game) and Iron Lords of Jupiter, and we've got more Mini-Game support planned. On the other hand, it's high time we get back to providing "generic" d20 Modern and Star Wars RPG support (to say nothing of the Living Greyhawk Journal), so #103 has lots of articles along those lines.

There's more Mini-Games to come, of course, including at least one that's mentioned in just about every Mini-Game wishlist thread that's popped up since I started this mad idea (including this one).

Thanks for the feedback, folks. It's very interesting and helpful.

I subscribed to Dungeon just because of the Polygon mini-games. I think they have been fantastic.

Have I played any of them? No (although I have been lobbying my group to try Spelljammer).

Have I gotten a ton of ideas and enjoyment from them? Heck yeah!

I think Spelljammer was a perfect example of how to present campaign information. Broad, over-arching concepts. Little one line plot hooks. A good number of locales with just enough flavor text to get you going. Distinct races with clear styles. A number of bad guys with great motivations for what they want and how they are going about getting it.

This is all I need to run a campaign. I can easily fill in the details, I just want a good framework, and Spelljammer gave it to me in spades!

Now that they have gone monthly, I would like to see the Poly months given over to a new minigame, and the Dungeon months have an adventure for a previous mini-game in the Poly section.

Please say its Darkmatter. Not that you can't already do Darkmatter with D20 Modern already, but there are some specific things I would like to see converted.

So far all types comes in at a massive 53% but the next one is fantasy.

I guess people figure it's better to have a broad and wide range of possibilities or go for the standard, which for d20, is still fantasy.

Yeah, for most of us SW gamers, we need more support articles as well as d20 Modern.
