MINI -- Reaper Dwarf

Painfully

First Post
I must heartily recommend this new Cloaker mini from Reaper for all those still learning to paint. It's hard to mess this one up even if you tried--which is a good thing for me cause I tried pretty hard. :)

Got a Reaper dwarf posted last night. I'm just starting to do eyes, and I still need practice with hair and skintones. This is a game mini so I rushed it a bit for last night's game.

Standing next to a mini of Jozan the Cleric, it's about two head sizes taller than Jozan. It looks about the right size to wrap over a human-sized figure.

In order to get the spine a little brighter color, I used a brighter blue first on the spine, and after it dried I painted over it again with the same color as the rest of the back. It offers a more subtle color change, but still gives enough contrast to be noticed.

The front is just plain dark grey. No shadows or highlights there. Maybe I'll add some in later after I figure out what horns look like IRL and try to redo those.
