He's all one piece. I didn't paint him, though. It's three different colors of clay. Brown, silver, and black for the eyes.

You didn't even have to paint him, and he still looks that good?! Efficient AND awesome!

That looks awesome! How hard is it to work with Sculpty? I have heard of it before - do you have to be a master sculptor to get results like that?

It's just modeling clay that hardens in the oven.
Making this guy wasn't really hard, it just took a bit of time. First I made a brown body, then I molded silver strips one at a time and placed them on him, starting at the end of his tail, overlapping up to his head.
