Miniatures, and other tableside accessories

Jeff - where is it that I could buy D&D minis like that? From a FLGS?
Sometimes, but they'll tend to be picked over. I'd suggest Auggie's, as other people have. Note that in addition to the eBay store link provided, Auggie's now has a non-eBay online store, where you don't need to worry about individual auctions, even of the Buy It Now variety.

You don't want to use wet-erase or (obviously) permanent markers on the Dungeon Tiles. Just dry-erase.

Finally, if I do end up ordering a case of D&D minis, where do I order it from?
I usually order cases from Game Outfitter. Right now, for instance, a case of the latest DDM set is $100.00, plus only $10.99 shipping. (Sometimes they have free shipping, even.) If you use you local game store's space, or otherwise rely on them to find games or players, there's something to be said for buying from them and trying to negotiate a discount (say, 15 percent).
