Miniatures suggestions for a d20 Modern adventure

This subject comes up quite often, perhaps we should consider having it stickied. Some other places to look for modern and near future minis.

Devil Dog Designs
Hasselfree miniatures
The Assault Group (don't know if they are still around)
The Wargame Foundry (Street Violence series)
Ground Zero games or Eureka

There are a ton more listed under this thread too

I just bought a big pile of miniatures from Heroclix and Horrorclix sets over at Troll and Toad (http://www.trollandtoad.com).

Search for "S.W.A.T." and "police". Also "thug" -- lots of great figures. Combined with the Horrorclix figures I already have, my collection is rounding out nicely. Now if I could just fine cars that fit the same scale...

1:43 scale cars seem to fit the bill quite nicely (not the same "scale", but they actually "look" right) - corgi, solido, burago, maisto and others do them in this scale and you can often pick the "non-collectable" or slightly damaged ones up on ebay or elswhere quite cheaply.

We use a lot of the Star Wars minis. I mean, Han Solo holding a smallish blaster looks pretty good as a stand in for a guy with a pistol. Storm Troopers may be a bit much, as troops, but, they work. There are a LOT of different Star Wars minis now, so finding a few that aren't oddball aliens isn't so hard anymore. (Then again, in d20 Modern, you just might want some oddball aliens.)

Hmmm, a set from the Mega-Minis line that I mentioned above, one that I think that I shall be getting. :)
