Seek out Lego on Ebay. You can usually by a POUND of generic blocks for 10-20 bucks. I'm sure they'll have tons of figures like those shown above as well.

BTB the Ninja series of Lego was awesome.

I remembered them being not cheap, I just didn't realize they'd skipped merrily over into bloody expensive somewhere along the line.

Heh - these are great I certainly wouldn't buy them for my game as Lego is way too expensive, but I think my son might enjoy them (or, at least, it gives me an excuse to buy them anyway )
