Minis - professional female soldier regimetn?

Female miniatures tend to run on the sexy side, as the mini companies know that their audience is mostly male gamers. But, what I am looking for is a matching regiment or group of professional female soldiers akin to a Warhammer regiment – matching weapons, shields and armor. Reaper makes some good female warrior types, but they are all individual miniatures, and not matching. Yes, I am sure some of them have similar shields and weapons, but not many. Most of the non Reaper female warriors seem to be the nude or scantily clad/spilling out of their chainmail bikini tops amazon warriors. Nice to look at, and yes, I do have my Rackham Fiannas and Fenryll Amazons, but not really what you would consider as a professional army.

Is there anything out there for female warriors that would be the equivalent of a Warhammer soldiers regiment or a Foundry Roman Legionnaire regiment?

Thanks

I bought every WotC-Chainmail armoured or clothed female mini at the SVgames sale for just this reason - trying to find even a single such mini for your PC can be frustrating, never mind trying to field a regiment! You could maybe find one of the less-expensive armoured female minis and buy say half a dozen or a dozen of them, for use as 'grunt' troopers, plus a more expensive but similar mini for the leader. em4/Crystal Caste do a pre-painted Adventurers set with 3/5 figs female as I recall.

Thanks – part of the backstory in Kalamar is that one smaller nation, Tharggy, was invaded by a larger aggressive nation. The army of Tharggy fought to basically the last man when the army of the bigger nation was forced to withdraw for the winter. However, come spring, they new a new invasion was coming and they had no army left to defend their nation. Rather than flee, the women of the nation decided to take up arms to make a last stand for their homeland. They drilled intensely all winter and, come spring, were able to defeat the larger invading army using great strategy, good tactics and fierce pride. Since that time, the nation’s army has been mostly female, as there are still not enough males of age.

Since they are from the north, I was thinking they would not likely fight nude or in a chainmail bikini in the snow… I was hoping to find some minis to represent a small company of their soldiers.

You could buy a bunch of the same model, and then mod each miniature, changing faces and positions. It's time-consuming, though.

If you can get hold of a discount lot of Chainmail minis, I'd definitely recommend them. I use a Chainmail female half-elf fighter fig for my Midnight-setting Sarcosan human female fighter, apart from slightly pointed ears she looks completely human. All the Chainmail elf, Aasimar & such figs seem to look pretty much like humans, and being WoTC the portrayal is 100% non-chainmail-bikini.

SVgames seems to have sold out of the female ones, though - see:

& they even raised the price of the remaining dregs from $1 to $1.60.

Maybe Games Workshop does something. There's got to be a Warhammer army entirely composed of females, or something like that. It sounds like something GW would do. Unfortunately, they aren't exactly cheap.

Reaper does army packs as well as individual minis. Check out these 4-packs:

The only drawbacks are these figs aren't specifically scuplted to be from a Northern land and there are no archers. You could probably pick 1-2 individual "____ of the Blade" figs up to round out your platoon, though. Also, depending upon how many you want in your troop, the blisters of metal figs can start getting expensive compared to plastics after a while.
