Minor (I do my mean minor ...) tweak to Monk and Warrior (npc)

okay, so i expect this thread to sink pretty quickly just based on the fact that I don't think it's very interesting ;)

any way, so far the only two classes to get weapon specialization are the fighter (basically unlimited) and the psychic warrior (once).

what about offereing it to the monk and warrior npc classes?

for a monk, maybe let them have the option to take weapon specialization at 9th lvl (only once) for any monk weapon/unarmed that they have wp focus in.

for warriors, again at 9th lvl ... and they also must have weapon focus (any weapon they are prof in) and it can only be taken once.

who's gonna play a warrior to 9th lvl anyway? (the DM! :-P)

and monks do get lots of powers, but I thought that if a psychic warrior gets the chance so should monks (at least for this).

like? dislike? don't really care? by 9th lvl it probably won't make much of a difference?

Sounds fine. I never liked limiting the Weapon Specialization to only the fighter anyway. I've opened it up to a paladins, rangers, and barbarians. Each can only take it once and can't take it till 6th level. So far it has been good in m games.

does anyone think a one shot time (like crothians or psywarrior) at 6th lvl is to much for monks and warriors?

a reminder, it's the option to take the feat ... not get it as a bonus feat the way fighters gain bonus feats.

I don't see why not. The biggest issue might be that it opens up PrC's that were previously only available to Fighters/PsyWarr. And your monk is probably not interested in that, so no worries.

I'd do it. :)
