Mirror Image ... most confusing.

I meant the disbelieving when you make contact with the image. Not by just making a Wil save. Sorry about that.

Why would you need to disbelieve it when it disappears?

The figments are like soap bubbles. They look pretty, but you poke them and they're gone.

In addition, if you don't have blind fighting, you lose your dex bonus when you close your eyes. You had better hope the wizard is not also a rogue or he will sneak attack you.

The close-your-eyes-and-swing method seems downright silly to me. To get around that, I rule that the images are "in and around" the same square. The figure on the map marks the center of the effect, but all the images are in constant motion around that point.

Even if you close your eyes and swing, you don't know whether you're targetting the caster or a figment, because they're all different distances from you. You still suffer a 1-in-6 (or whatever) random selection from the possible targets, in addition to your 50% miss chance for not being able to see.

Mirror images are immune to area effect damage spells, you have to use targeted spells, such as Magic Missile, to remove them.

Somehwhat OT but, cast Scatterspray on a bunch of marbles at the MI'd mage's feet. Reflex save for the mage and images, any images hit cancel out right? since they've come into contact by another object? Just wanted to run this by some folk as it came up in the last game.

Perhaps the "moving" part meant that you can't be immobile! If someone throw a fireball at you and you make the Reflex save you "have moved"! So you can move even on opponent's round. (Ok... You don't move very much... You are dodging and not walking). If you are paralyzed you don't move!

When it says they change order as you move I'm fairly sure they ment actual movement. Otherwise the images would shift every time you used an action, thus making finding the real caster irrelevant the next round.

That's how I play it - every time he uses an action.

It means that if someone finds the real caster, everyone else who has an action before the caster's next turn can capitalise on it, but once he goes, you have to figure it out again.
