Miscellaneous Debris (SoSA Development Halted)

The Big Project, otherwise known as Swords of Strange Aeons has been indefinitely suspended due to massive PC hardware failure. I have lost (but hope to recover) all of the development files, including the gorgeous Matthew Vasey cover art and interior art by various ENWorld forum members.

I'm currently in the process of pursuing repair options locally as Squaretrade and the eBay seller whom I purchased the PC from left me woefully uncovered due to spotty warranty service. Right now, it doesn't look good. The best quote I've received is roughly $700 more than what I invested in the PC initially, though I have called in a favor or two in an effort to get the work done for a sane price.

When and if I can afford to resume work on the project, I'll be certain to let everybody know. Thank you all, very much, for your contibutions.

Sorry bout your problem, but you can't fault the seller of your machine if you never made a data backup.


I hope it all works out for you. Maybe your submitters kept copies of their work.

Well, I don't fault the seller for that, really. My issue is that even if I had a data back-up, I couldn't access it (because the PC in question was my only PC). What I fault the seller for is providing woefully inadequate warranty coverage, as noted in my first post (the PC burned up 35 days after purchase and, despite a seller warranty and a Squaretrade warranty, I wasn't covered at all due to some convenient planned obsolesence).
