[Misfit Studios] SpirosBlaak Online goes live!

SpirosBlaak Online Goes Live!

It has been a long time coming, but Bizzaro Games' SpirosBlaak campaign setting is soon to be released through Green Ronin Publishing. SpirosBlaak is a bold experiment in the concept of Open Game Content, for it is, to the best of our knowledge, the first completely Open Game Setting (OGS). Yes, the entire setting is OGC, including proper names, allowing others to use and develop it as they see fit.

To give curious minds a peek into the world of SpirosBlaak, Misfit Studios and Bizzaro Games announce the opening of SpirosBlaak Online ( http://www.spirosblaak.com ), a site dedicated to all things pertaining to the Archduchy of SpirosBlaak and the lands beyond it.

SpirosBlaak Online is concerned with developing a community dedicated to the setting, regardless of the publisher. To this end, we will work with other publishers to coordinate press releases and areas to be developed, provide a single forum for discussion of setting, and host a single catalogue of products linking to third-party publishers who are using the setting.

Misfit Studios and Bizzaro Games hope other publishers will take advantage of this opportunity and join in the experiment that is the Archduchy of SpirosBlaak. We look forward to seeing where this Open Gaming Setting will lead, so please join us for the ride.

Been interested in this since it was first solicited in Previews awhile back! Hand cannons and were-beasties all...

Thanx!

The idea is excellent! Now, along with Parent's Basement Games' Murchad's Legacy, that's two fully OGL settings in the market. I'm definitely getting SpirosBlaak as soon as it comes out; for us at HMP, who publish world-neutral supplements, OGL settings are just the perfect way of expanding our clientele.

The website is really cool, though that red background is slowly eating away at my retina. Any chance it could be dulled a little for us folks with weak eyes? ;)

Much success with this new endeavour!

The first thing we're following the core book release with is SpirosBlaak Arsenal, a book that adds a LOT more black powder bang so I hope you'll enjoy that. Medieval rockets and mortars and grape shot, oh my!
