Entry 12: To See the See chronicle's Brother Cedric's first impressions of Vas, as well as his concerns about its faith, as he munches on some bread and beer at a quiet road-side table.
In Entry 13: Misconceptions and Disillusion, Brother Cedric explains why he has not made any journal entries after nearly a week and why he has come to rethink his previous understanding of faith in the gods.
Entry 14: Answers for my Questioning finds Brother Cedric pondering the reason for his questioning, and drawing some conclusions that may lead to hard lessons learned.
With Entry 15: On to Taervas, Brother Cedric has finally left Vas and the zealous witchfinders behind. He is now amongst another caravan heading north towards the infamous village of Taervas where he hopes to learn some new skills.
In Entry 16: Back to School, Brother Cedric has arrived at the unusual town of Taervas, home-away-from-home for many of the Archduchy's mercenary companies. While he ponders what to do next, he seeks out a warrior who can train him to better handle himself against he adversities of his travels. He must also deal with the first Voice from Beyond to speak in his mind for nearly a month.
Entry 17: The First Lesson imparts a sort of schooling Brother Cedric had not expected, but at least this hardship has a welcome, if unexpected, outcome.[/url]
Brother Cedric actually begins his combat lessons in Entry 18: Now the Lessons (Really) Start. Learning from a skilled arms master, Brother Cedric slowly begins to realize that martial discipline has more benefits than the mere obvious.
In Entry 19: the Cost of Learning, we see why Brother Cedric hasn't been heard from in a while and can only wonder what his training will prepare him for in the future.
Entry 20: A Lot to Say ... explains some of what has happened during the long months since Brother Cedric's last journal entry. It seems his journal, along with something else of importance, had been stolen and now he and Master Twollas must do something about it ...
(In truth, it's been a long time since the last journal entry because I've been busy with wedding preparations.)
