Missing Menaces

Reveiwing the Menace Manual SRD I noticed the following critters missing:

Fraal (Gray)
Gardhyi
Half-Fraal (Template)
Kroath
N'sss
Sesheyan

I assume this was done so as not to "out" the names as open content, but the fact they didn't release the Fraal and Half-Fraal as Gray and Half-Gray is a bit frustrating. Hopefully they are just being held in reserve due to revisions in the D20 Future supplement.

The mind flayer isn't in the (M)SRD, and neither is it under the incarnation of illithid. The same applies to these races.

Although I see you could call them Grays (I mean, I don't think X-Files stole their names).

In any event you can call "half-grays" star children (their Dark Matter name). However, their stat benefits weren't nearly as good. Star Children were created to "pave the way" for first contact, but their agenda depends on which of the three gray factions created them.

Ahotti: also known as wanderers, these conservative isolationists spend their time studying pisonics.

Iltan: also known as builders, these aliens don't mind making secret contact with humans, such as Hugh Fletcher of the UN New World Order, and sharing their technology with them.

Zilfir: these rogue grays are responsible for a lot of kidnappings of humans, cattle mutilations and what have you. However, they're not all criminals. I think the head of Department 7 is from this faction.

I think it's because they keep it as PI (and thus don't release it as OGC), since they are featured in the d20 Menace Manual Book (which is sold for only 13$ on amazon.com).

Those creatures were left out of the SRD precisely because they are PI. Wizards believes (with good reason) that those properties (along with other features of the Dark Matter game) have value.

If Wizards created something that another company might want to pay them to license later on why should they give it away?

The only one I regret is Greys.

We can, however, make our own Greys.

(They might be better anyways. I've always preferred the idea of tall lithe greys to midget "sectoid" greys.)

These Dark*Matter monsters from the Menance Manual are in the Modern SRD though: Elohim, Etoile and Sand Slaves.

The Sasquatch and Yeti are in there too, but not by their D*M/Alternity brand names...
