scott and i agree that anything published in ToH will stay on the site as-is. :) but thanks for the heads-up.

I'd be upset with how WoTC's been violating the "no-touchie" agreement on ToH monsters. Except they've been violating it so well.

Oh well.

I find it extremely irritating and a sign of poor ethics at WotC. They made a 'gentleman's agreement' and are not being gentlemen about it.

Perhaps I should have said "more upset". It does still bug me, but not as much as it does some people. And not as much as the ethical bit of me thinks it should. But I do like the WoTC conversions...

I agree. I like how they format their text and how they catch things we often miss. I also like how they find simple ways to translate old abilities. Plus the playtesting can't be beat. I should know. Used to work retail for them. I playtested some things and I didn't even know it until much later!

I found several mistakes in the WotC conversion of the mist dragon, how many can you find, let's make a list!

1. Aquatic subtype, the mist dragon should not have the aquatic subtype as it has the water subtype and can breathe water and air without problem. with the aquatic subtype it looses that ability and would choke in the air.

2. No mention of the mist dragons lack of wings and serpentine body.

Are there more?

I think somewhere along the line someone at WotC decided that all flying dragons (except the Orientals) have wings by default. As I remember, the gold dragon used to be wingless too.

I could be wrong though.

No, you're right. Golds used to be the original "oriental-looking" dragon.
