[mistake] Did Gary Gygax just die?

I was shocked to recieve a phone call from a friend of mine living in Wisconsin informing me that Gary Gygax died of a heart attack early this morning. Does anyone have any information on this?

Let me just state that I am not making a joke. That would be in very poor taste indeed. I was on the phone to a friend of mine who live in Wis. and he told me that he had read the name Gary Gygax in an obituary collumn in the newspaper. I live in Edinburg now, and unable to confirm this, so I am asking. Since the post from him this AM is there, that probably indicates another guy.
Don't mean to alarm.

Frex, here where I work (no I won't say where exactly) there's one guy named Gary Mitchell and one guy named Gary Jackson.

That doesn't mean the former is going to go mad and get 1337 brain powers after crossing the energy field at the edge of the galaxy, and the latter probably doesn't own the rights to HackMaster (TM).

So this Gygax with the cardial infarction is either a ringer, or a rumour, or a prank; but I don't think it's our EGG.

Nope. I'm editing your thread title so as not to be alarmist. If he posted this morning, I don't think his obitiary was run the other day. Sounds like a misunderstanding or mistake to me.
