MM2 - changing the hit points?

All solos use (level x 8 + 8 + Con) x 4 or 5 to determine hit points, rather than the role dependent hit points for standard monsters. So the bebilith, heroslayer hydra, and adamantine dragon all have x4 hit points, as per heroic tier solos.

For a second I thought I missed something. But you are incorrect, not all solo monsters use the formula you mention above. Random sample from my DDI shows that Urishar from P3 follows the DMG guidelines.

It would have been nice if they had been consistent ><

Actually, it seems we are both correct. The original MM monsters follow your formula, whereas the newer monsters follow the DMG guideline.
