Mobile Suit Gundam-- Which Faction?

Who is the most powerful faction in all of the Gundam series? (despite alternate universes...) Personally, the Duchy of Zeon has my vote... Sieg Zeon!!

Zion is a good choice, they did invent the Mobile Suits first after all. If maybe they upper leadership wasn't plagued by political shananigans, they'd be even more dangerous.

Actually, now that I think about it....during Gundam Zeta, the Federation/the Titans (when they started painted all their Suits in black) were pretty powerful. They had the colonies under martial law.

the Titans were more corrupt than the Principality of Zeon! Btw, their suits were a very dark navy blue, not black.

Zeon would have won the war if the MS-14A was produced 2 months earlier; If Char took that last shot in episode 2 (Destroy Gundam!) Gundam would have been destroyed; If Char didn't kill Garma Zabi; If Shiro Amada hadn't met Aina Sahalie (08th MS Team)...

I don't like Char Aznable. He had alterior motives, (avenge his family) not loyalty to the nation of Zeon. (I do like his color choice though; I only roll red dice and post only in red ) My favorite Zeon ace could only be Anavel Gato.

Char wasn't loyal to the Zabi family, but he was loyal to Zeon- the Republic, not the Duchy that usurped it.

But as far as I am concerned, the Zabis were the Zeon. Dozel and Garma were among Zeon's best aces, and Kycilia's lead made for a lot. Besides the Sahalies in 08th MS Team, are there any other Zeonic aristocracy mentioned?

That why Char was a true Zeon patriot; he was true to the Zeon ideal, not the Zabi family's ambitions, and so he worked to see the Zabi family fall. In time, he would reveal his true ambitions and work to see his father's ideals become reality. (It would've worked too, it weren't for that meddling Amuro Rey and his Feddie friends. )
