Modded SW mini to D&D Oni Mage

I needed an oni mage for King of the Trollhaunt Warrens and don't have a lot of money to spend.

I found a $1 Star Wars common at Origins and threw some stuff at it that I had laying around my basement.

I'm no miniature painter, but I did study ink wash and drybrush a little bit.

The whole thing still ended up costing me $1.

I'd personally hit it with a dark wash to get rid of some of that shine, unless it's supposed to look like a professional wrestler oiled up for the main event. If it is, by all means leave it!

I may have over done it with the polyurethane. How do I do a dark wash but keep him blue?

A wash doesn't necessarily change blue to another color. The principle of a wash is that is is thin enough to change the shade perhaps, but it pools in the lines to add definition. If you wanted to keep the colors exactly as-is, you could choose to hit it with a matte finish.
