Well, it's been months, and still no Modern Awakenings setting. This is due to several reasons:
1. My place of work (Yes, I do have a day job...) decided to enforce about 7.5 hours of mandatory overtime on me and my coworkers every week. While the money is good, rest and relaxation have become something of a luxury for me. Sleep is also at a premium.
2. Since some of my writing has been taking place at work, between jobs, (It's fine folks, they know about it.) the current work situation has prevented me from working on this as much as I would like. We got busy... Good for my job, but bad for this setting.
I'm not attempting to make excuses, just to say that I have not just quit on it. Sadly, we all have to pay the bills...
On the bright side, I have been continuing to write on it when given the chance. So far it is looking pretty good.
I have also been writing on some short stories, and have also begun working on a book. I jump between the projects to keep from burning out on any one. This means that all come out slower, but I'm not tempted to just quit due to personal stress. Don't knock it, it works for me...
I will attempt to update more often, but remember: Your interest, if any, is what really keeps my attention. Drop me a note on the message boards, and let me know what you think. It helps to keep me focused.
Update: As a further apology to all of you who may have been waiting for me to "Get off my duff", I am releasing a section of the Modern awakenings as a showing of what the style of the book will be like. This section covers Modern Healing. I hope you find it an enjoyable read.
