Modern Backdrops available and it's cool.

That's great! I hope you get a great deal of enjoyment out of it. It really pleases me to hear that people are using it. Especially when they enjoy it.
We're glad to take any feedback, and we'll take it all into consideration for future books. The author is working on Modern Backdrops 2, now, and this one should have some interior art, as well as maps. :)

My one request is you consider some house/mansion floor plans. Contemporary houses are easy enough to get off the web, but I had to stretch to find something suitable for an old sprawling '20s mansion.

I second that also, Mr and Mrs Baize. Those would be nice to see in a future work, as I've recently gotten our group to do a series of one-off's of a more pulp, earlier-this-century feel. Those would fit in nicely.

Yowch! Modern Backdrops "amaturish"? What do you guys think that have had a chance to use it in your campaigns? Does it indeed seem amateurish? The only specific thing the guy mentioned was the maps, but if there are writing issues, we'd like to know so as to address those in the second one.

I didnt think so. Maybe that guy was smoking crack when he looked at it. The maps were done quite well and the writing was very good, IMO. All in all, a very good product and definitely worth the price of admission, plus some.

Maybe he was just upset that when he downloaded the PDF it wasnt hard-bound. Probably stared at the little retractable coffee-cup holder door that them new-fangled computerz come with waiting for a hardback book to pop out when he pressed 'download' :D

Oh, man... Thanks... now I can't get THAT image out of my head...
Dude cussing, and ranting...
"WHERE'S MY BOOK??!!?!"
Putting his soda in the 'cup holder'...

Oh man...
