Modern Navy Help Needed

I don't know that much about modern naval combat. I am looking for a list of manueverability ratings for various kinds of navy vessels. Anyone have any ideas or maybe know enough about ships to create a table?

All I know about naval combat, I learned from Stormwrack - a great D&D 3.5 splat book.

I'd say modern naval ships have 3 maneuverability factors: top speed, time to top speed, and time to 180 degree turn (or turn rate). You could complicate it a bit with reverse speed, deceleration, and turn radius.

Watch the Hunt for Red October to get a feel for some of these factors, and appreciate another one: noise level. A big consideration for maneuvering naval vessels is pointing their weapons (including rams) in the right direction.

This is what I came up with:

Rating Examples
0 Cog, Heavy Barge, Freighters
1 Barge, Aircraft Carriers
2 Rowboat, Caravel, Fishing Boat
3 Galleon, Cruisers
4 Trireme, Longship, Frigates, Destroyer
5 Bus, Armored Truck, Tractor Trailer, Sailing Coastal, Sailing Corvette, Sloop
6 Limousine, Armored Truck, Tank, Forklift, Naval Corvette, Hydrofoil
7 Snowmobile, Compact Car, Jeep, Pickup, Antique Car, Formula 1 Car, Patrol Boat, Littoral Combat Vessel
8 Sedan
9 ATV, Dune Buggy, Speed Boat
10 Sports Car, Police Cruiser
11 Dirt Bike, Jet Ski
12 Racing Bike
