Modern Player's Companion

I think it's definitely one of the best d20 Modern books in print right now, and I'm thrilled with my copy even though I bought the PDF versions.

I take it both volume 1 & 2 of the PDFs are in the print version then ?

That is correct. When we do print versions of the Game Mechanics stuff, we generally take two PDFs and make one larger print release.

Glad everyone is enjoying the book.

OK, specific question:

IS it good (a/k/a worth the money)?

Yes. I bought the PDF's when they came out and it has been well worth the money, plus some. Not a ton of fluff, but much much crunchiness that can be used directly in a game without too much tweaking. The new stuff is balanced well and in the same vein of the original d20 Modern stuff, which it should be considering many of the same guys wrote it and pretty much said it was the stuff that they wished they had time/room to put in the original d20 Modern book.

Great stuff.

I must agree. My character has already taken advantage of the Opinion Maker class. It's nice to be 5th level and have a Reputation of +12.

I have a couple characters that have used several feats, and the new talent trees in MPC2 I have also taken advantage of.

Oh yeah, that is until the big evil mook starts publishing really nasty stuff about you in the newspaper, with pictures... then it's slightly inconvenient ;^)
