Hello, all. I am announcing the release of my newest addition to DMs Guild - Way of Spider: the Patient Hunter.

This is a fully developed and balanced monastic tradition option for the monk class in 5e D&D. The Way of Spider centers around the spirit of Spider and what it teaches the martial artist: endless patience, a focus on defense, and ultimately how to channel the spirit of Spider to bring a swift end to threats. Check it out today if you’re looking for new an inventive ways to play a monk in 5th edition D&D!

Also, to give credit where credit is due, I got the idea for this while providing feedback to Scott Bean at Dragon Rock Games on his Way of Spiritual Harmony monastic tradition. They are both defense-oriented traditions, but there are some pretty substantial differences in their philosophies and how they work mechanically. Still, just to avoid stepping on any toes, please by all means, check out Scott’s work, as well, as he has some great ideas, and it has a totally different flavor that you might find right up your alley.
