Mondo Mutant Mayhem! Looking for one more Omega World player!

Anyone interested in a zany Omega World game? It would be a casual type of game, not plot heavy, and I think Omega World's "looseness" would fit online play. I would do all the random rolling for mutations and stats. I'm thinking 4 players at a time, but alts would be welcome, as OW is bloody and death frequent, so new characters could be rotated in fairly frequently.

Omega World, for the uninitiated is a d20 minigame which appeared in Dungeon #92 ( or 94 if you go by the bar code!). I would prefer players who have access to the rules, if only to make character creation easier.

A bit more detail:

The characters would be part of a group engaged on an overarching "epic" quest that may or may not ever come to fruition, as an excuse for wandering the wastelands . OW is much more focused on Exploration, Combat and relic acquisition than detailed character bio's. Characters start at 4th level. Player will choose pure strain human or mutant stock.

Just found my copy. :)

Incidentally, the spine of this issue says #92, but above the barcode it says #94.

So it took me a little bit to dig it out.

I'd love to play a mutant. Are you going to roll everything, or do we get to choose off of table 1-1?

I'll roll for mutant stock. I like the game's reliance on randomness. Plus, the game has a built in mechanism for dealing with sucky characters (ie the "kamikaze option". :)

I will ask what point value of mutation/defects you want to go with. Stop at 11 or more, or before that?

OK Threshel, rolling for mutant stock, we get 69, everyones favorite, making you a Clicky! (ecl +2, starting level 2)

You can pick the aesthetics as to what type of bug.

Stock mutation is Heightened Int.

Your first mutation is Cryogenesis, worth 6 points. It's a psychic attack, so remember you can get Psychic Attack as a class skill.

Stats as follows:
Str: 6, Dex: 17, Con: 13, Int: 11, Wis: 16, Cha:12.
These are the raw rolls, no racial or mutation modifiers. Using the organic method you get to reroll one, then swap any two scores.

Reroll that 6, of course, and I'll pick the swap after that, k?

The Str: 6 becomes Str: 16.

Your next mutation is Heightened Constitution, bringing your totall to 12.

On to the defects.

Smaller- you are 1 size cat. smaller, 7 pts.
Frenzy, for 6 points.

Your random special gear is Trade Goods. I'll leave it up to you to determine the details.

So that should be all you need from me.
