Monekygod Reviewer Contest

Thanks! I figured free swag was a good enough incentive for me to write up a fairly detailed review. :p I really like this module, and it also ties in easily to Black Ice Well, with a few minor modifications. I only wished MG didn't decide to stop writing modules. It's a shame that they have such a poor profit margin.

Thanks for the review amigo. E-mail me at joegkushner @ yahoo . com with your snail mail address and I'll pop off a copy of Frost & Fur to ya.

One down, one to go folks. Don't let this hardcover book slip through your hands.

They're the best kept secret in d20 IMHO. By the time they stopped making modules was when they were putting out the best stuff.

You're right, Mystery Man, by the time they really nailed it, they stopped. Sad. I suspect it also has a lot to do, unfortunately, with public relations. I remember the first time I saw MonkeyGod at GenCon in 2002, and they had this whole slew of modules - and I'd never even heard of them! Black Ice Well and Hellstone Deep are probably some of the best two high level modules around, yet very few people outside the online community have probably ever even heard of them.

We still need one more review. Don't let the hardcover Frost & Fur die of loneliness!
Ahhhhhhh! I just read the review of Frost and Fur on d20 Magazine rack. (Congrats, by the way, the review was glowing). Makes me wish I had the book to review... Any posibility of another way of winning Frost and Fur? One that doesn't require a review of Stone to Steel? I have a planet-hoping campaign with an ice planet that my PCs are (eventually) going to visit, and I want the enviroment to be a real challenge.

Hey, folks.

I realize there's no incentive to do this, since it's not on the list of Joe's swag. But if any of you are in the mood to review any more of MKY's modules, I'd love to see more reviews on The Hero Snare. (Joe's is very nice, but it's the only one up--anywhere, so far as I can tell.) I'm quite proud of the work I did on that, even if (in retrospect) there are some things I might tweak if writing it today. I'm happy with positive reviews, of course, but I'm willing to look over negative as well, if they're constructive.

Don't mean to come off as pimping myself, or to be in any way irritating. It's just that I really wanted to accomplish something specific with this module--namely, make kobolds scary without having to tack on umpteen templates or class levels--and I'd love to know to what extent I succeeded. :)

If you talk to MonkeyGod Enterprises and promise to write a review, you can probably snare a copy.

We've had a LOT of people request free copies of the book but a disturbingly low review count. Which is some kind of weird compliment but exceptionally frustrating. Someone mentioned in this thread that MonkeyGod suffered from bad PR...a detailed review would definitely help.

I've never seen my book actually pimped by someone else before, this is entertaining. :)
