As a old Battletech fan I gotta say this is going to be a sweet book when it comes out. I am wondering if you are treating this game as well as you are treating the B5 game you are doing, and what changes to the d20 system are being incorporated into Armageddon 2089 that will do it justice.

Is it possible to preorder the book? When is it coming out?

In many ways, Armageddon 2089 is the forerunner of Babylon 5 in terms of presentation and editorial direction - all the new techniques we wanted to do for B5, we are trying with Armageddon first so yes, just as much attention is being focussed on it. In fact, in terms of rules and playtesting, far more time has been devoted to it - it is just that kind of game

As for what changes are beiong made to the d20 System, well in terms of actual characters, it is kind of a blend between the PHB, Judge Dredd and B5 (you'll get a preview of some B5 rules in Armageddon 2089). However, WarMeks themselves have a _great_ many rules additions. Sure, you still get attack rolls, initiative and the odd attack of opportunity, but otherwise it is quite a different animal.

In terms of preordering, talk to your local retailer and get him to put a book aside for you - he'll be happy for the business!
