Hi guys,
Well, I have been well and truly stuffed by turkey over the holiday season (can't say I had much holiday though), I hope each and everyone of you had an equally good time over Christmas and are preparing for more justified self-indulgence on New Year's!
Speaking of Christmas, this time of the year is good at disrupting printers and frieght companies, so any books you are currently waiting for (such as The Slayer's Guide to Yuan-Ti) will be with you in just a couple of weeks.
As for January's releases, we have some cool books on their way. . .
The Quintessential Paladin
Written by Alejandro Melchor (Chaos Magic, Quintessential Elf and many more), I have been waiting for this one for quite a while - not least because my character in the office campaign, Sir Agamar, is a Paladin. Packed full of holy swords, new spells, and diverse uses for the Paladin's special abilities, this promises to be a cracking addition to the Quintessential range.
The Slayer's Guide to Undead
Right after he had finished penning The Slayer's Guide to Dragons, we begged Mr Gary Gygax to do another book for us and, co-written with Jon Creffield this is the result - a 128 page Slayer's Guide describing all the hideous foulness concerncing the Undead, traditional foes of any adventurer. As well as casting a detailed look at all the Undead creaturtes you are already familiar with, Mr Gygax has added many more, making this an essential companion for any GM wishing to make his players' lives a misery.
The Ulimate Equipment Guide
The third release in our Supplementary Rulebook range, the Ultimate Equipment Guide has (at last count) over 2,000 items of equipment, ranging from the mundane to the barely believable. Divided into several wide-ranging chapters, there has got to be something for every adventurer in this 256 page tome - my personal favourite has to be the three-bladed pressure powered sword. Bonus points to the first who guesses where inspiration for that came from!
Cities of Fantasy: Stonebridge
Penned by Patrick Younts (Quintessential Monk), Stonebridge is the fourth in the Cities of Fantasy line, all designed to be 'dragged and dropped' by Games Masters into any part of their campaign worlds. Inhabited mainly by Gnomes, Stonebridge has been kept safe through the centuries by an alliance of draconic influence. . .
Way of the Horned God
The Way of the Horned God, written by Ian Sturrock, is the stunning conclusion to the epic Horned Lord and Moon Sow campaign for the Slaine roleplaying game. I won't give too much away, as it is a scenario, suffice to say it is a 128 pages of magic and mayhem guaranteed to thrill any player with a taste for Celtic fantasy!
All these books will be previewed on our web site within the next few days, and will be available in local stores throughout January.
