Mongoose Necromancy book review?

Forrester

First Post
Was wondering who out there has purchased this book, and what they thought.

Is it only for arcane necromancers, or both arcane and divine?

Are the new spells balanced and interesting? How many of them are there?

Are there new/interesting/good prestige classes?

What else is included?

My current campaign has a divine necromancer and an arcane one (4th level for both) and I'd like to find some nifty new stuff they can both use to flesh out their characters.

Thanks much!

I'm currently lending it out, so I can't give you any specifics. I really like the book. The prestige classes are very good and creative. I think it's all arcane spellcasters. It is in the Arcane series. Mongoose is coming out with Divine magic books, but I don't know if they ar edoing Necromancy with that.

I loved it.
It is arcane only.
Great point about is it that gives mechanics that explain why the necromancers are the unsavoury types the fantasy literature has them as. It is great atmosphere book and a good mechanics book. MAde me think radicaly differntly about how magic should work in my campaigns.
