Hi guys,

It is the end of another month, so it must be time for some more books from the Mongoose - and we have some crackers for you in October!

First up is the Quintessential Psychic Warrior from Sam Witt (Cleric, Dwarf, Chaos Magic). This is jam-packed full of information, feats, powers and cool things to do for this sometimes neglected character class. However, with Sam's work on crystal fortresses, psychic weaponry and character concepts, I think we will see a resurgence of popularity in warriors who
also utilise the power of the mind.

The Slayer's Guide to Duergar is also due, and has been one of our most requested Slayer's Guides to date. Second only to the drow in malice and evil temprament, this 32 page guide to the dark dwarves will enhance any campaign that takes a trip to the relams beneath the daylight world.

October also sees the release of a new series - the Power Classes. These half-size $2.99/£2 booklets each provide a brand new core character class for the D20 System. Four will be released this, including Assassin, Gladiator, Noble and Exorcist. Each Power Class booklet provides not just new character information, but also new feats, equipment, spells, wards and
benedictions for its class.

The Encyclopaedia Arcane series continues with Star Magic, harnessing the raw power of constellations and providing the strength behind the Magi. Players will be able to use Star Magic with any arcane spellcaster straight from the book, or Games Masters can use the guidelines contained within to create their own set of constellations unique to their campaign world -
ready for wise spellcasters to begin harnessing.

For the Judge Dredd RPG, we are releasing the final part of the Kazan Gambit trilogy, Target: Mega-City One. This completes the trilogy of scenarios begun with The Sleeping Kin and is explosive, to say the least!

Finally, for the new Slaine RPG, we have two releases. The Fir Domain is the first of the new 32 page Tribes series, covering the warriors of the growling shield in great detail. Players from this tribe will now have a wealth of new options to flesh out their characters with new prestige classes, character concepts, feats and background. Just in time, in fact, to play The Invulnerable King, the first book in the epic Horned Lord and Moon Sow campaign. Written by Ian Sturrock, Graeme Davies and Debbie
Gallagher, this four part campaign will throw players right into the centre of the Slaine world in an exciting tale of battle, sacrifice and a desperate quest to overthrow a vicious tyrant!

Are you going to be doing a Quintensential Book to Druids/Rangers/Barbarians anytime soon, especially the Ranger to give it some new options beyond the standard two virtual feets it gains?

Druid is already written and will be out in November. Barbarian has been written to and is scheduled for early next year - and yes, Ranger will be following!

Hello Mongoose Guy ;)

One thing I do not understand about Mongoose series of books philosophy; I thought the Quint. series was to expand existing core classes.
But then there is the Witch. I liked it very much but then I do not understand why the shaman or the chaos mage were not given the same, in depth treatment, I think the ideas there in deserved it.
Make a Quintessential Chaos Mage (to replace to sorcerer) and a Quintessential Shaman and you will sell at least one copy of each ;).

Well, EA Chaos Magic has all but sold out - we are very seriously considering doing The Quintessential Chaos Mage, fully updated and expanded.

Watch this space. . .

Thanks for your quick reply, that's a good news... what about the Shaman :D ?? Yours is better but I think it would deserve a Quint book too!!

Well, I guess that's one way to get the long awaited extras put into print. ;)

:)
I would love it to be expanded... please remember that, unlike other classes, this one does not benefit from supplements from other publishers so please:
more prestige classes
more chaos paths
Hope that the were-mongoose read this!!

I'm not sure how much overlap you'll see between the Web Supplement (the writing of which I'm completing now) and The Quintessential Chaos Mage (which I hope to one day write. :)).

But if you'd like to make your voice heard about what you want me to cover in the web supplement, take a gander atmy site and leave a comment or three. :)
