use the rule or don't use the rule, that simple. What does your question have to do with the use of this book?

My "up from prone" question was posted to demonstrate that the rules system has matured apart from fact of which setting you are in. It is my belief that many of the d20 Modern game mechanics have been superceded by the 3.5 rule set. I would expect any quality "core book" to integrate these latest (3.5) mechanics with whatever elements of d20 Modern were needed for the specific setting.

But I don't want to hijack the thread. I voiced a concern and the book's representative chose not to answer. That in itself is answer enough for me and so I'm fine.

Give Matt a chance. It sometimes takes him a while to get back to these messageboards, what with running an entire company and all.

The MOdern SRD was indeed used as the base for Cybernet, and the core classes are 10 levels a piece.

Excellent. In that case we will probably consider moving Etherscope over to Cybernet. Expect an email from me shortly after this becomes available in Waterstones, Manchester :).
