Hi guys,

Hot off the presses (literally - they are still warm!) are the next four books in the Power Class series, mini-supplements priced at $2.95/£1.99, each packed with information to support one brand new core character class.

First up in the new set is a popular archetype, the Knight. The Knight is a good solid fighter that will grace the front line of any party, but has a rigid code of chivalry to protect the weak and defenceless and be generous to the poor. No doubt this will cause some suitable inter-party friction if he is paired up with a Rogue whose morals are less than high and mighty! The Knight is granted armour, weaponry and a horse, but faces many restrictions in what he can and cannot use - only the finest quality merchandise will do! He is also a superb horseman, with class features such as Born to the Saddle and Horse Sense placing him far beyond other characters when mounted. New rules have also been included to support the Knight's outlook to adventuring, such as extra-heavy armour (complete with feat, includes Siege Plate and Tilting PLate, among others), though players will find these items both expensive and time-consuming to put on.

Next up is an old favourite that has yet to be covered under the d20 System - the Artificer. This is a character skilled in Arcane Science, the bending of magic and machine. Any party sporting an Artificer will find their weapons and equipment can quickly become upgraded, as he is a skilled inventor, able to construct Mechanomagical Armour and make Elemental Modificications. The greatest of his powers will see the Artificer creating Mechanomagical Constructs, living machines of frightening power. New magic items and feats will help make Mechanomancy a reality in your games.

The 7th book in the Power Classes series is the Hedge Wizard, a rural magician who relies as much on superstition as actual sorcery to achieve his ends. Specialising in cantrips, the Hedge Wizard can achieve much more with these incantations than a Wizard or Sorcerer, who often bypass them completely. He is also capable of learning a far wider range of skills than his more civilised counterparts, including combat capabilities. New spells are included for his use, including Fumble, Gremlin, Luck, Soothsaying, Social Invisibility and Sour, while new feats grant him the Hedge Wizard the capability of crafting charms and and enhancing potions. A nice change of pace overall if you enjoy spellcasting characters.

The last in this set will, I think, prove to be the most popular - for the front cover if nothing else. The Explorer features a rather Lara-esque young lady on the front cover, armed with two hand crossbows and plainly ready for action! The Explorer is, in many ways, a specialised Rogue, one who concentrates her skill on delving into forgotten tombs, enduring challenges and adapting to any new adversity that besets her path. The Explorer can readily create healing balms and antitoxins when in the 'field', decipher strange languages and has access to more new feats than we have put in any other Power Class book! Whether she goes for Disease Resistance, Fleet of Foot, COncealment or any one of 17 new feats, the Explorer will prove to be extremely hardy and will likely push on with a mission when the rest of the party is weary or badly injured.

All four new Power Class books will be available in your local store within two weeks.

Very cool. I've been waiting on these since I saw them listed in Game Trade a couple of months ago.

I really liked the previous four books in the series. The Noble will definitely be spending some time as a core class in my next campaign, and the Assassin (in some form) probably will too.

Haven't found as much use for the Exorcist or Gladiator in my setting yet, but I did like the books, and who can beat them at that price? At $3 a pop, I'll keep buying them just to steal a few ideas!

Thanks for the update. (Guess it's too early to say if there are any new classes coming down the road...)

Very nice indeed. I have also found the Noble very useful in my campaign. The Explorer and Hedge Wizard classes also sound like they will find a place in my notebook. The HW in particular may be replacing the Adept, an NPC class that I've never been all that happy with. 'Course I'll have to wait for them to make their way across the pond and through customs....

I'm now firmly convinced someone is hacking into my computer or that I am mentally broadcasting my ideas to the world at large... I had a new class for my upcoming book (now at 36 pages of raw text) that sounds remarkably similiar to this. I've got to start doing faster execution of my work... I guess in the meantime I'll go down to my FLGS and pick up a copy.
