Hi guys,
A glorious 256 page hardback has just been released by Mongoose Publishing and is now in your local games stores and book shops - The Slayer's Guide Compendium. Gathering your favourite creatures from the Slayer's Guide series, updating them to 3.5 and adding a couple of never before seen texts, this is the indispensable tome for making common monsters in your campaign far more than just cannon fodder.
The creatures covered are Hobgoblins (still my favourite creature!), Gnolls, Troglodytes, Bugbears, Trolls, Orcs, Doppelgangers and Tritons, featuring authors such as Sam Witt, Johnathan Richards and Matt Forbeck, among others.
Each section has a single creature as its focus and includes details on their physiology, habitat, society and methods of warfare. There are chapters on showing you how to roleplay these creatures within your scenarios and ensure your players know they are not facing 'just' another critter. In addition to this, each also has numerous story hooks for inserting the creatures into your current campaign and a complete encounter or lair that demonstrates the core background of each race. They are rounded off by a detailed reference list which features different characters within the races, from great warlords to craftsmen and non-combatants.
The Slayer's Guide Compendium is priced at $34.95 and is available now from all good games stores and book shops.
