(Mongoose) Ultimate Feats

I can see that Games Masters are going to have as much a field day with this book as players - all the while players are cunningly putting together their nastiest feat progression dedicated to slaying the next demon that comes along, the GM will be arming up his evil fighter to thwart their schemes.
You mean I'll be having a field day banning over-powered feats. :)

Fortunately, at this point my players know that anything coming out of a Mongoose book is likely to get banned.

Is there a rating-system for feats, so that a DM can easily pick out which ones are uber-twink only?

Aye, something like the Netbook of Feats has to give comparisons and sometimes comments on the usage/reason for a feat?

Yeah, exactly what I was thinking of. I'm going to have to dig that up again -- there was some nifty stuff in there. Anyone have the link? I can't see spending 40 bucks for a huge melange of often unplaytested-feats that were just borrowed from a bunch of random other places without some sort of rating system/guidance for overwhelmed DMs.

On the other hand, if there IS a rating system, cool beans, and well done! I'll have to look for it.

I noticed that Malhavoc Press is missing from the list of companies that the Ultimate Feats book will support. Is there a reason why?

Just on a side note, I went back and looked at my copy of the original Book of Eldritch Might. None of the feats in there are Open Game Content. That may have something to do with why they aren't in Mongoose's new book.

Well, for one, one of (IMO) the best featmaking publishers is missing: Chainmail Bikini.

I have to agree here. I have Beyond Monks, and it's one of the better products out there now, including the incredible feats in there, as well as how they organize them (Hard feats, Soft feats, Hard/Soft feats, etc). They're OGC too, its a shame they arenn't in the new book. Ah well, page limitations will do that.

Thanks for the comments folks; the positive feedback keeps us going.

Maybe if Mongoose does a second printing then some of our stuff will make it in; (Though then they would have to call this one the "Penultimate Book of Feats":). ) It would have been great to have some of our stuff printed in such a comprehensive book with such esteemed company.

Nevertheless, I look forward to this book. I think it will be one of the "unofficial core books" that most groups will actually use. And that's what I look for in a product, something I or my players can pick up and actually use right away.
