Mongoose's OGL Wild West - Reviews, Comments, etc...

First Post
I keep seeing OGL Wild West at my local Borders during my lunch hour, and being that I do not have enough time to sit and flip through it, I'd thought I'd ask...

Is it any good?

I cannot find any reviews here on ENWorld or elsewhere for that matter. Any kind advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have it and like it. Good on flavour. Still has typical Mongoose typos and missing a feat or two, but nothing that would be a game-stopper.

I don't have OGL Wild West, so I can't vouch for it, but I do have it's competitor product Sidewinder Recoiled. The only reason I would suggest not getting Sidewinder is if you 1) don't have d20 modern or 2) really hate d20 modern. If you have d20 modern (or the SRD and a D&D PHB for XP charts), then I can honestly say that Sidewinder is an excellent product and is well worth the money. I think I remember it coming in at near 300 pages, but I can't be certain as I don't have the file handy at work. Plus, it has SUPPORT. That is, active writers posting here and answering questions, a couple of supplements for support, and an upcoming line of adventures. I don't remember seeing OGL WW having that backing behind it until I saw poster above mention some supplements forthcoming.

I'd look at both very carefully and choose the one you like best, but if you want one that's got good reviews and good word of mouth, Sidewinder is your best bet.
