Can you suggest places and parts of the adventure where I could place them that would make the most sense, given the scope of the adventure?

Maybe:

Churney on the Green (maybe as a reward for getting rid of Bonesplitter)
SaragostMaybe Bahn and Lisbet have found one on one of their victims
Vannondal/Petrus Carolus is certainly studying one and the PCs could obtain it if things are RP'd well.

[sblock]We had one of the Ogres outside of Hockton Barrow crit the barbarian and take him to -40 in one shot. basically cut him in half, now they've got a pair of bodies, perserved with Gentle Repose, and looking for something in Saragost to help them. [/sblock]

My players better be keeping out!!!!!
