After the funeral, as her mother and step father were still knee deep in their grief, Laura's ashes disappeared from the urn they'd kept her in.  She reappeared a mile away, naked in a field, and she'd been changed.  She now had white wings sprouting from her shoulders, and her body had grown much stronger.
