i guess it wouldn't be a problem as long as we didn't try to sell them. :)

(Edit, because I totally misunderstood BOZ...)

Sure thing - no costs for anyone involved (ok, it'd cost me some time, but that'd be all.)

Although it would be more like 9 cards every now and then, rather than all creatures in one go.
Your choice :)

Personally I'd prefer vertical cards that has an image of the beastie on one side and crucial info on the other. Cergorach, is this project of yours going be a completed file available for download for whoever wants it?

Completed, i aim for that, but don't expect all the monsters overnight. I'll probably post them in mutiples of 9 monsters in pdf. I think that monster images are unrealistic for now, i would want a good artist doing the images and that costs money, lots of money if you want an illustration of every monster. I'll post the pdfs for download for 'free' (as in released under the OGL, just not the layout), so you won't have to pay anything to download them.

sure. :) start with the most recent (posted some yesterday, in fact) and work your way back until you get to 3.0 - stopping to pick up newly posted ones along the way. :) people could print them out, and use them probably easier than the website.

Horizontal or vertical format doesn't really matter to me so long as one is dedicated exclusively to the art and the back for the relavent stats.

Cheers!

just some thoughts on things to include.
put all the defensive abilities on one part of the card
and all offensive on another part of the card
and whatever you do please put the hps at the bottom of the card with enough space for marking them down if you could

- These will not be cards with art on them, there's just no money for that.
- These will be reference cards for ingame use, so no place for marking down hit points, use a piece of paper or a notepad.
- The most important data needs to fit on one card, preferably the front.
- All the cards will be the same size.
- I'll try to make the important info more noticeable (hit points, AC, speed, initiative, etc.).
- Spell selection for casters will not be on the card, i'll make seperate spellbook cards (so you can have an offensive selection one time and a defensive spell selection the other).

Why no mention of the best way to use card-sized monster cards?
Put them in card protectors, the kind that Magic players use, and write on them with wet erase pens. Mark off hit points, spells and whatever.

I don't really do or intend to use them, but I think those "Vertical monster cards please, like TOGC uses, with also data on the backside of the card." would be the best, with all the commonly needed data on the front side and only stuff you need rarely (i.e. as in the example, the explanation for the abilities and such) on the back side.

Making them in trading card size for those protectors would be a good idea as well and include some boxes for notes and to cross off stuff (not only hit points, also limited use abilities, spells, etc). :)

Bye
Thanee
